10 reasons my baby boy is like a puppy

I love my children, but today it really felt like I was in a zoo.  And then it dawned on me: having an 11 month old is like having a puppy.  I'm sure many parents have come to this realization before me, but here are my reasons why Xavier might as well be a puppy.
  1. He eats anything that gets dropped on the floor
  2. He chews on furniture and on shoes
  3. He somehow manages to get ahold of a paper towel, shred it, and make a giant mess (my grandma had a puppy that did this)
  4. He likes to try to drink from the toilet (ok, play in it, but you get my point)
  5. He chases the girls around the house while barking (well, making yelling noises)
  6. He understands the word "no", but refuses to heed it (and I can't whack him with a newspaper)
  7. He gets stuff all over the floor when he eats and drinks
  8. He likes to carry small objects in his mouth and run (crawl) away from me as fast as possible
  9. He occasionally bites me
  10. He slobbers and drools all over the place
Don't worry, I'm not going to trade him in for a puppy.  Although a puppy might be easier to house train...
